On 21 February 2008, FDC representative Ms. Jin Xiuhong, together with Mr. Göran Lindblad, Swedish MP and Vice-President of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE), visited Lieutenant Governor Mr. Brad Owen and Secretary of State Mr. Sam Reed of Washington State. They exchanged their ideas about how to promote Chinese democracy and human rights before the Beijing Olympics. They promised each other for further contact and mutual support. Both the flags of the US and Sweden were raised that day at the state capital Olympia.
